Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of FleetSquad services and this website.

Who we are and when these terms apply

FleetSquad is a fleet maintenance product operated by MECHLANCE INC. These Terms govern use of the FleetSquad website and accounts and requests for FleetSquad services. A separately accepted estimate, work authorization, fleet agreement, or invoice may provide additional terms for a particular service. If a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, that agreement controls for that service. These Terms do not retroactively change an existing signed agreement.

By using an account or requesting service, you agree to provide accurate information and to use FleetSquad only for lawful business and service purposes. If you act for a company, you represent that you are authorized to submit requests and approve work for it. Account credentials are individual; do not share them. Notify FleetSquad promptly if you suspect unauthorized account use.

Services and requests

FleetSquad coordinates mobile fleet maintenance, repair, diagnostic, and inspection services at an agreed location. A Get Estimate submission may immediately create an Open Project for review. It does not itself confirm an appointment, approve repair work, or authorize charges. FleetSquad will review the request and present the applicable scope, scheduling, price, and authorization steps. Service availability depends on location, vehicle, technician capacity, safety, and the agreed scope.

Estimates, work authorization, and changes

FleetSquad performs chargeable work under an approved estimate, work order, or other agreed authorization. If a diagnosis identifies different or additional work, parts, funding, or a change in price, FleetSquad will request the authorization required by the applicable agreement before proceeding with that additional scope. An initial estimate may depend on information available before inspection. The final charges and any change authorization are governed by the accepted service documents and applicable law. No fixed diagnosis charge or additional fee is created by these Terms alone.

Vehicle access and safety

The customer is responsible for providing lawful access to the vehicle and a reasonably safe work location, including any needed keys, gate access, and permission to work at the site. FleetSquad may delay, reschedule, or decline work if access, conditions, or the requested work are unsafe or unavailable. The customer should remove valuables and disclose known hazards or special vehicle requirements before service.

Scheduling, cancellation, and service records

Scheduled times are estimates unless an accepted agreement states otherwise. FleetSquad may update the customer about assignment, arrival, work status, and completion through the account and permitted contact channels. Project, PO/work-order, inspection, photo, and invoice records may be maintained in the FleetSquad account as part of the service history.

Payment

Prices, deposits, Project and PO funding arrangements, invoice due dates, and accepted payment methods are specified in the approved estimate, invoice, or written fleet agreement. An account with a separately approved monthly billing agreement may receive consolidated invoices according to that agreement. FleetSquad will not treat an unapproved service request as a payment authorization. Any tax or collection charge must be disclosed and assessed under the applicable agreement and law. A FleetSquad record showing funds held or released is not, by itself, a representation that funds are held in escrow, a waiver of the repair warranty, or a waiver of a nonwaivable legal right.

Cancellation and refunds

A customer may request cancellation through the FleetSquad account, by emailing support@fleetsquad.com, or through the contact form. FleetSquad will review and process the request under the accepted service documents and applicable law. Cancellation, rescheduling, storage, travel, diagnosis, completed-work, or other charges apply only if disclosed in the applicable estimate or agreement and permitted by law. Deposits and other payments are refundable to the extent provided by the accepted service documents or required by law; neither every deposit nor every completed service is automatically refundable. FleetSquad will tell the customer its decision and any approved refund amount. An approved refund will be processed through the original payment method when available or another agreed method; the payment provider may determine when funds appear. A customer may report a billing error or request a refund through the same support channels. Releasing Project or PO funds does not end a covered warranty claim or a nonwaivable remedy.

Warranty

For covered parts and labor supplied by FleetSquad, the warranty period is 30 days from completion of the applicable repair, with no mileage limit. A claim should be reported through FleetSquad support with the relevant invoice and vehicle information. When a reported failure is tied to covered work, FleetSquad will arrange a return inspection and correction of that covered work at no additional charge; the assigned mechanic or another qualified mechanic may perform the correction. If the issue is unrelated to the covered work, any proposed diagnosis or additional repair requires separate authorization before it is charged. The warranty does not cover misuse, accident, unrelated defects, or work altered by an unauthorized repair. Any applicable manufacturer warranty and nonwaivable legal rights remain available. If a covered issue cannot reasonably be corrected, FleetSquad will review the further remedy required by the accepted service documents and applicable law. Payment or release of Project or PO funds does not by itself end this warranty. A warranty claim does not by itself create an automatic refund.

FleetSquad text message program

FleetSquad SMS is an optional account-notification program. A person who separately chooses to receive FleetSquad texts may receive account and service-request notices; Project and PO/work-order updates; technician assignment, scheduling, En Route, Arrived, diagnosis, Ready for Test Drive, and recorded funding or service-status notices relevant to the person's role. A mechanic who chooses FleetSquad SMS may also receive new fleet-repair Project opportunities for which that mechanic's active FleetSquad account is eligible, including opportunities matched within the service-area radius. These are FleetSquad messages. Mobile Mechanic consent does not enroll anyone in FleetSquad.

Message frequency varies with account activity, Project and PO events, and, for mechanics, the number of eligible nearby opportunities. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to SMS is optional and is not required to request or receive FleetSquad service. Providing a service-contact phone number alone is not SMS consent.

Reply STOP or STOP ALL to opt out of FleetSquad texts. Reply HELP for help. An account holder may also withdraw SMS consent in the FleetSquad account. FleetSquad will honor an SMS STOP request even while a Project is active; account information and other lawfully permitted communications may remain available. For support, email support@fleetsquad.com or use the contact form. See the Privacy Policy for the handling of phone numbers and SMS consent. The FleetSquad SMS program does not include discounts, third-party offers, or general advertising.

Email and other communications

FleetSquad may send service and account email where permitted and necessary for account setup, requests, scheduling, records, or support. Email and SMS are separate channels. Withdrawing optional SMS consent does not automatically stop service email, but any applicable email preference, unsubscribe right, or legal restriction will be honored. FleetSquad will not use SMS consent as permission for unrelated email or another brand's messages.

Website and account use

Do not attempt to access another person's account or data, interfere with the service, upload unlawful or malicious material, or use FleetSquad content or systems for an unauthorized purpose. Mechanics and technicians may access customer, vehicle, Project, and PO information only for work they are authorized to review or perform and must use it only for that work. Assignment, service, and compensation obligations are governed by the applicable mechanic agreement and accepted work authorization; viewing an opportunity alone is not an authorization to perform chargeable work. FleetSquad may restrict an account when reasonably needed to protect security, comply with law, or enforce an applicable agreement, while preserving any rights under that agreement or law. Website information is general; a vehicle-specific diagnosis or service promise is made only through the accepted service process.

Responsibility and legal rights

FleetSquad is responsible for its services as provided in the applicable agreement and under law. To the extent permitted by law, FleetSquad is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from a website interruption or service delay, and its liability for a service claim is limited to the amount paid for the service giving rise to that claim. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, including rights under applicable consumer-protection or warranty law. Nothing in these Terms removes a nonwaivable legal remedy.

Changes and contact

FleetSquad may update these Terms by publishing a revised version and effective date. Changes do not retroactively alter an already accepted service agreement unless that agreement or law permits it. Questions about these Terms or FleetSquad SMS may be sent to support@fleetsquad.com or through the contact form.
